Victoria Goldbach has beeen added as an assistant coach of the New York University softball team. She will assist in recruiting and film breakdown, while primarily working with the Violets' pitching staff.
A 2016 graduate of Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, NY, with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing,
Goldbach was a four-year starter on the softball team. As a junior, the former Knight pitched a perfect game. Additionally, she helped her team to its first Skyline Conference title and first-ever NCAA Tournament victory in 2016, the first in program history.
Goldbach also served as President of Mount Saint Mary's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) as a senior.
"Victoria's experience as a Division III player who pitched in the NCAA Regionals is invaluable," said Head Coach
Now-Allah James. "She will help in the continued growth of our pitching staff and help lead us to the next level."
Following her graduation,
Goldbach served as an assistant coach of the Beacon Xtreme 16U travel team during the summer of 2016. She continues to work as an individual pitching instructor for various age groups.
"I'm excited about the opportunity to work with the NYU players," Goldbach said. "Coach James has done a great job with the program and it will be exciting to see where the team will go in the years to come."
Goldbach, who also works as a Registered Nurse at NYU Langone Health, is a native and resident of Middle Village, NY.
