The New York University men's tennis team defeated the United States Coast Guard Academy on Sunday, April 10, in New London, CT.
The Violets (3-6) defeated the Bears (7-4) by a score of 6-3.
NYU's
Umberto Setter made a triumphant return from injury by posting a 6-2, 6-0 victory at #3 singles and partnering with
Shrikar Kundur for a 9-7 win at #2 doubles.
"Happy to have Umberto back in the lineup. He's worked hard to recover," said Head Coach
Horace Choy. "He contributed with two points and allowed us to experiment with some new doubles combinations."
The Violets return to action on Wednesday, April 13, when they will travel to Hoboken, NJ, to take on Stevens Institute of Technology at 3:30 pm.
