The New York University men's tennis team completed its competition at the United States Tennis Association (USTA)/Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Northeast Regional Championships on Saturday, September 26, in Poughkeepsie, NY.

In singles play, junior Umberto Setter, the lone Violet remaining in the singles draw, lost to Renssalaer Polytechnic Institute's Tristan Wise 6-3, 6-4 in the Round of 16.

In doubles play, Setter and freshman Benedict Teoh continued yesterday's suspended first-round match and defeated Hobart College's Jonah Salita and Jonathan Atwater 8-6. The pair lost in the second round to Skidmore College's Lucas Pickering and Steven Koulouris 8-4.

"Our players have lots of upside," said NYU Head Coach Horace Choy. "The more matches this team plays, the quicker they'll learn what it takes to win at the Division III level."

There is no team scoring at the tournament.

The Violets have now completed their fall season.
