Freshman
Steven Nogradi was victorious in all five of his bouts en route to winning the 133-pound bracket. Three of his victories came by fall, including his championship win over Mizam Tamaradze of Springfield Technical Community College in just 50 seconds.
"Steven wrestled really tough," said NYU Senior Assistant Coach
Corey Luce. "And, what's scary, is he still has a lot to work on to get even better."
Another freshman,
Raymond Jazikoff, advanced to the finals of the 157-pound bracket. He accumulated two tech falls and one major decision on his way to the finals.
"Having two freshmen make the finals was exciting," Luce said. "Finishing fifth while leaving some of our starters home is a testament to how tough our team is going to be."

- Another freshman,
Jacob Donato, advanced to the semis at 125 pounds.
