The New York University women's tennis team earned its second consecutive victory by defeating Ithaca College 9-0 on Saturday, April 13, at the Stadium Tennis Center at Mill Pond in Bronx, NY.
NYU (3-3) has won three of its last four matches to even its record after a 0-2 start.
Ashley Masanto,
Alison Wang,
Mari Tzakis, and
Madeline King all went 2-0 for the Violets.
Jazmin Colling and
Becky Kumar combined for a doubles victory, while
Ramya Pokala and
Alexandra Ziarko each earned a singles win.
“I'm very happy with how we played today,” said Head Coach
Horace Choy. “It was nice to earn our first shutout win. We have a good opportunity to get above .500 for the first time this season in our next match.”
The Violets return to action on Saturday, April 20, when they host SUNY Geneseo at the Stadium Tennis Center at Mill Pond at noon.
