The New York University wrestling team defeated the College of Mount Saint Vincent 30-6 in Riverdale, NY, on Tuesday, January 8.
The win helps NYU continue its strong start to 2013, which has seen the team improve to 8-1 on the season and
climb to #25 in the latest National Wrestling Coaches Association poll.
"This was a great opportunity to give some of our guys experience competing in the starting lineup," noted Senior Assistant Head Coach
Corey Luce. "We are pleased with the result and are looking forward to this weekend's invitational at Ursinus College."
Highlights:
-Patrick Sheehan was NYU's leading scorer as he recorded six points for his pin in the 184-pound match.

Dan Brereton (197) tallied major decisions and each earned four points for the team's total.

Matt Eulau (149) and
John Fitzsimmons (165) won their respective bouts, each by decision.
-The victory adds to NYU's current win streak which sits at six matches, dating back to its 26-13 win over King's College on November 10. During the streak, the grapplers have won every dual by double-digit points.
-Mount Saint Vincent Head Coach Ryan Cooley, in his first season with the Dolphins, is an alum of NYU.
NYU returns to the mats on Saturday, January 12, for the Wilbert Abele Invitational in Collegeville, PA.
