Final Results
In round two of the Duke Nelson Invitational held on Sunday, September 16, the New York University men's golf team surged to a 14th-place finish with an overall score of 645. The strong finish was a total team effort, as the second round individual scores varied by no more than three strokes.
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute also completed an impressive comeback to win the tournament with a score of 607, ending with a six-stroke advantage over second-place Skidmore College.
Highlights
-Each Violet bettered his score from the previous round, combining for a 15-stroke improvement over round one.

Kavian Bina led the squad, shooting a 78 for the day and 157 overall.
-Three Violets posted identical scores;
Tanner Swanson,
Charles Van Cook and
Kevin Chien all carded 79. They finished the tournament with scores of 162, 163 and 163, respectively.

Tim Lau shaved six strokes off his first round score to tally an 81, shooting 168 overall.
“We shot much better today, with everyone dropping strokes from yesterday," said NYU Head Coach
Todd Kolean. "We're a young team, and to come back and play like an experienced one makes me very proud.”
The Violets return to action next Saturday, September 22, for the Liberty League Fall Championship held at the Kingswood Country Club in Hudson Falls, NY.
