Men's Track & Field Team Shipping Up to Boston

Violets Continue Steady Improvement

Kish highlights a group of hungry Violet runners.
The New York University men's track & field team hopes to capture lightning in a bottle and build upon their success in last weekend's meets as they head up to Boston to compete at the Boston University Valentine Invitational on Saturday, February 11.

The Violets fared extremely well in what was an out of the ordinary weekend that saw the squad split between two meets, the New Balance Collegiate Invitational in Manhattan and the Seamus McElligot Invitational at Haverford College.

Dylan Karten had what was arguably the best performance of any Violet runner this season at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational as he outlasted some of the best runners in the country to take first place in the 3,000 meters. It was a career-best performance for Karten that also earned him University Athletic Association (UAA) Athlete of the Week honors.

Karten's teammate, Zac Kish followed up Karten's win in the 3,000 meters with an impressive win of his own, as he took home first place in the 800 meters at the Seamus McElligot Invitational.
