New York University will be offering live video webcasts of 37 home sporting events during the 2010-11 academic year.  The slate of webcasts will begin in the fall with a total of nine women's volleyball matches.

All five of the Violets' matches during the season-opening NYU Labor Day Invitational on Friday and Saturday, September 3-4, will be streamed live, as will the team's four matches during its other home tournament, the NYU Violet Classic, on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 24-25.

“Offering live video of so many matches is tremendous for our team and our athletic department as a whole,” said women's volleyball head coach Chris Pinto. “Fans, alumni, parents, and recruits who can't make it to out to the Coles Center for our home matches can still see us in action.”

Fans can access all of the webcasts through the front page of the NYU Athletics website (www.gonyuathletics.com) by clicking on the “NYU Live Videostreaming” icon. All webcasts are free of charge.

Four other sports will also offer live video webcasts during the year. Men's and women's basketball are scheduled for 10 games each, while five wrestling matches and four men's volleyball matches will also be available via webcast.
