Two members of the New York University women's track & field team have qualified for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships, which will take place Thursday-Saturday, May 27-29, at Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, OH.
Sophomore Maeve Evans enters the championships ranked seventh in the nation in the 1,500 meters. She qualified for the event with a time of 4:29.19, which she set at the Princeton University Elite Meet on May 1.
An indoor All-American in the mile, Evans is scheduled to compete in the 1,500m time trials beginning at 4:15pm on Thursday, with the final set for 1:20pm on Saturday.
Joining Evans at the NCAA's will be freshman distance runner Kirsten Keller, who is ranked 12th nationally in the 10,000 meters. Keller set her qualifying time of 36:04.28 at the Monmouth University Invitational on Mar. 27.
The 10,000m is scheduled for 6:30pm on Thursday.
