Senior fencer Zoe Evans was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Athlete of the Week on Monday, Feb. 8, following her perfect performance in a quad-meet at Columbia University on Wednesday, Feb. 3.

Evans competed against Vassar College and Sacred Heart University at the meet and went 3-0 against both to finish with a perfect 6-0 record in women's foil (she did not compete in the match vs. Columbia).

NYU defeated Vassar 15-12 and edged Sacred Heart 14-13.

That performance capped off a strong end to the regular season for Evans, as she finished with an overall 37-19 foil record.

It is the first time this season Evans has earned UAA Athlete of the Week honors and it is the fourth time in her career that she has been recognized.
