Nick Coulson and Kyle Green added to their list of postseason accolades by earning All-Region honors from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).
Coulson and Green were both named Second Team All-East Region after helping NYU, which finished the regular season ranked third in the East by the NSCAA, to its first-ever University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship and a berth in the NCAA Tournament.
Coulson starred at center back for the Violets, starting 15 of 17 games played and serving as a team captain. In his final collegiate season, the senior helped NYU become the first team in UAA history to go all seven Association games without allowing a goal while also helping the Violets tie the school record for shutouts in a season, with 12. Coulson also played a major role in breaking the school records for goals-against average (0.47) and consecutive shutout minutes (754:40).
Behind Coulson's leadership on defense, NYU finished the year 10th in Division III in team goals-against average. Offensively, his lone goal of the season came on a penalty kick against Hunter College.
Green started all 18 games at forward and was the Violets' second leading scorer, posting career highs of seven goals and 19 points in his sophomore season. He tied for the team lead with five assists, helping NYU record 28 assists for the year, the fifth-highest single-season total in school history.
Green is the Violets' active leader in every major offensive category and will enter his junior campaign fourth in school history in assists per game (0.23).
At the conclusion of the UAA regular season, Coulson was a First Team All-Association selection, while Green was named to the Second Team. These are the first All-Region honors for both players.
