NYU's Phil Jamesson was named University Athletic Association Athlete (UAA) of the Week in men's fencing on Jan. 25.
Jamesson was the top performer for the Violets at the NYU Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 23. Against some of the top Division I fencing programs in the nation, he posted an impressive 10-4 record in foil, including 3-0 showings against St. John's University and Wayne State University. The freshman improved his overall record to 20-12, which leads all NYU fencers, as the Violets went 1-4 against their nationally-ranked foes.
It is the second time this season that he has been named UAA Athlete of the Week.
