Men's Fencers Conclude First Day of NCAA Competition

Roukas is 20th in men's sabre after four rounds of competition.

The New York University men's fencers have completed their first day of competition at the NCAA Fencing Championships at Penn State University in University Park, PA.

Sam Roukas has performed well so far in the men's saber competition. In the first four rounds, Roukas has posted three victories in men's saber, and stands in 20th place out of 24 competitors.

Over in men's foil, Alexander Kao has three represented well for the Violets. Kao has also recorded three victories so far for the Violets, and he currently sits in 22nd place.

The NCAA Men's Championship will continue tomorrow with rounds 5-7 of men's competition in the morning, and will conclude with the gold medal bouts tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 PM.

The women's fencers will take the floor on Saturday morning in their first four rounds of competition.
