The New York University men's and women's basketball teams will hit the road this weekend for two University Athletic Association (UAA) games each, traveling to the University of Rochester for a doubleheader Friday, Feb. 13, before ending their trip with a twinbill at Carnegie Mellon University on Sunday, Feb. 15.

Ranked #16 in the USA Today ESPN Division III Coaches Poll and #19 by D3Hoops.com, the Violets' women (17-3, 6-3 UAA) will face a Rochester squad (19-1, 8-1 UAA) ranked #2 by D3Hoops.com and #3 in the USA Today ESPN Poll on Friday at 6 p.m.  NYU will look to avenge a 65-55 loss against the Yellowjackets on Jan. 11 at the Jerome S. Coles Sports Center.

The Violets will then face a Carnegie Mellon squad (5-15, 0-9 UAA) they defeated 55-42 at home on Jan. 9 on Sunday at 2 p.m.   Jessica McEntee, a member of the D3Hoops.com Team of the Week, leads the Violets with 19.2 points and 11.8 rebounds per game.  Emily Foshag (8.0 ppg, 3.7 rpg), Grace Carmen (7.3 ppg, 3.8 rpg), Jen Hum-Traverso (6.7 ppg, 33 steals), and Megan Fox (3.8 ppg, 7.9 rpg) have made steady contributions to the starting lineup.

Meanwhile, the NYU men (13-7, 2-7 UAA) will face Rochester (15-5, 6-3 UAA) to begin its trip Friday night at 8 p.m.  The Violets dropped a 78-67 decision to the Yellowjackets at home on Jan. 11 despite getting 16 points and 11 rebounds from John Mish (14.4 ppg, 8.0 rpg).

From there, the Violets will travel to Pittsburgh to face #21-ranked Carnegie Mellon (16-4, 6-3 UAA) at noon Sunday.  Richie Polan (11.6 ppg, 6.0 rpg) tallied 12 points and Keith Jensen (9.4 ppg) added 11, but NYU suffered a 78-57 setback on Jan. 9 at home.
