Roukas Earns UAA honor
NYU Fencer Finishes Near the Top at National Circuit Event

Senior Sam Roukas has been named University Athletic Association (UAA) Athlete of the Week in men’s fencing for his performance at the United States Fencing Association North American Cup Qualifying Event, which was held in Pittsburgh, PA, December 4-6.
Roukas, competing in Men's Division I Sabre, finished 14th overall out of 105 fencers.
"It was an outstanding performance by Sam," said NYU head coach Steve Mormando. "The level of competition in the weapon was world-class."
This is the second time this season Roukas has been named UAA Athlete of the Week and the 11th time in his NYU career.
