Maher Chalks Up Another Accolade
Named UAA Athlete of the Week For Fourth Time In Career
Maher has been named UAA Most Valuable Runner for 2009.

Senior Zach Maher has been named University Athletic Association (UAA) Athlete of the Week in men’s cross-country for his performance at the UAA Championship last Saturday. Maher became the third straight Violet to win the UAA individual title with his performance on the 8,000-meter Squire Valleevue Farm course in Hunting Valley, OH.
Maher bested the 80-man field with a time of 26:06.72 over the wet and muddy turf. His performance helped NYU win its fourth straight team title.
In addition to winning the UAA individual title, Maher has been named First Team All-UAA and Most Valuable Runner. Throughout his stellar career, Maher has been named UAA Athlete of the Week four times.
