Trio of Women's Volleyball Players Earn UAA Honors
Dunn Named Rookie of the Year, Tabbed to First Team

Three members of the New York University women's volleyball squad were named to the 2009 University Athletic Association (UAA) All-Association Team.

Freshman Kendyl Dunn received All-Association First Team honors and was named the UAA Volleyball Rookie of the Year. Sophomores Elizabeth Dick and Mina Baban were named to the All-Association Second Team.

Dunn leads NYU in several statistical categories including kills (488), blocks (104), points (575.5), and serve percentage (.979). Dick has contributed 314 kills on the season, and has also sustained the defense with 419 digs. Baban has has totaled 1192 assists, already placing her second in school history with 2,135 career assists.

This is the first time since 2006 that a Violet has been named to the First Team All-UAA, and the first time since 2003 that a Violet has garnered Rookie of the Year honors.

NYU will return to the court on Thursday, Nov. 12, when the Violets host an eight-team bracket of the NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship at the Coles Sports Center.
