Succumbs to Long-Time Battle with Cancer
Former Staff - Mary Clay
Mary Clay was well-respected throughout the Department of Athletics and the University.
Long-time New York University Department of Athletics employee, Mary Clay, passed away over the weekend following her battle with cancer.

A resident of Pleasantville, NY, Mary began working at NYU in 1980 as an Administrative Aide in the Graduate School of Public Administration. Mary kept the same title when she moved into the Department of Athletics in 1982.

Following that, Mary served the department as the Budget Administrator (1984-87), the acting Business Manager (1987-88), and ultimately as the Business Manager beginning in 1988 through the time she took a leave of absence in 2006.

In 2005, Mary earned the 25-Year Service Award from NYU for her long and dedicated service to the University.

A memorial service in Mary's honor will be held on Friday, Nov. 21, at 11:00 am at Faith Lutheran Brethren Church, 480 Pleasantville Road, Briarcliff Manor, NY, 10510.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that you contribute something in Mary's memory to the charity of your choice. Below are two great organizations that Mary took advantage of:
